I purchased this car during the winter of
2002, the car was in horrible shape problems were as follows:
Interior: Broken seats, faded vinyl
and plastic components, cracked dash, dirty carpets, water
damage, ripped door panels, breaking down pedals and shift knob,
loose linkage, breaking steering wheel, dysfunctional sound
system, dirty seat belts, and it all smelled like must and
exhaust.
Exterior: Fading paint, minor dents,
rust spots from an exploded battery and normal wear, scratches,
paint chips, the rims are disgusting to my tastes why Porsche
ever put them on a car I'll never know...
Mechanical: Blown air-conditioning
system, water pump was going out, bad belts, bad suspension, and
a loose linkage.
The car had been heavily abused, only being fixed when it was damaged and wouldn't run... Leading to being parked in a garage for 6-8 years with all fluids drained except the transmission fluid. I had a mechanic get it running and road safe. I have worked a few months to bring the interior back to a new and updated condition.
